The 14-Day Standard Challenge
I've spent 35 years training, and the lesson that never changes is this: the training part is the easy part. The other 23 hours of the day are where results get made or lost.
The challenge is one rule: write down everything you eat and drink for 14 days in a row. No new diet. No new program. Just see what you actually do.
Day 1: start today
- Pick one place to log. A notes app, a notebook, or any food tracking app. Whatever you'll actually open. Don't spend today picking the perfect one.
- Log every meal, snack, and drink. Do it right after you eat, not at the end of the day. Memory edits things.
- Don't change what you eat. Eat the way you normally do. Today is about seeing, not fixing.
- Log the bad ones too. The day you skip the log is the day you were guessing. Log it, even if it's ugly.
You don't need to be perfect. You need to log it every day.
What to expect
Around day 4 or 5 it will feel annoying. That's normal. By day 10 you'll know your real numbers, and by day 14 you'll stop guessing.
If you miss a day, don't start over in your head. Log the next meal and keep going.
